What is your favorite part of gameday?

My favorite part of gameday is getting to interact with Knight Nation. I came from a high school where the marching band wasn’t very appreciated by the community, so coming to UCF and being involved in a fanbase that loves and appreciates us was like a breath of fresh air to me. Seeing how excited people are whenever we pass them during the March to Victory, or how loud their applause is after a performance always brings a smile to my face.

What do you like about Marching Knights?

What I like about the Marching Knights is how unique we are when it comes to college marching bands. Being a younger university, UCF is constantly modernizing what we do, and I feel like that passes on to the Marching Knights in the way that we march and play. I also love how we prioritize musical ability, as musicial ability is what truly defines a good marching band.

What are you most excited about for this season?

I’m most excited for UCF’s first season in the Big XII conference. Even though what we do as the Marching Knights is going to be very similar, the environment of gameday is going to be even better than it has been previously. Being in a Power 5 conference is going to put a lot more attention onto the university, which in turn allows more people to experience the Marching Knights and appreciate the work that we do.

Describe a favorite hobby of yours.

Just like most of our generation, my favorite hobby is playing video games. I enjoy doing other things in my free time, but playing video games is really the only thing that I consider a hobby. Most of my free time is spent sitting down and enjoying one of the around 650+ games that I own.
