A Variety of Bands for all Majors
UCF’s Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and University Band are open to students of all majors that would like performance opportunities in the Fall and Spring semesters.
Auditions for the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic band are combined and take place before Fall and Spring. The Concert and University bands do not require an audition.

The UCF Wind Ensemble is comprised of approximately 50 of the finest wind and percussion students at the University of Central Florida. Performing literature of the highest caliber, the Wind Ensemble presents two to three concerts per semester at local, regional, and national venues. Auditions are required for membership and are held at the beginning of each semester. Auditions are open to any University of Central Florida student regardless of major.
Rehearsals: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30–3:20 PM

The UCF Symphonic Band is an auditioned ensemble that performs a varied repertoire of standard band literature. The Symphonic Band presents two concerts per semester, both locally and regionally. Auditions are required for membership and are held at the beginning of each semester. Auditions are open to any University of Central Florida student regardless of major.
Rehearsals: Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30–5:00 PM

Concert Band & University Band
The UCF Concert and University bands are open-enrollment ensembles designed to offer continued performance opportunities for those students who wish to keep music in their lives as a recreational and aesthetic activity. No audition is required to become a member. Comprised of both music majors and non-music majors, these bands present two concerts per semester.
