Cindy McIntire is the Assistant Majorette Instructor for the UCF Marching Knights Majorettes. She is a graduate of UCF with a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies. Cindy is a native Floridian born in Miami, Florida and raised in Lake Placid, Florida. She began twirling at the age of eleven when she joined the Suncoast Twirlers in Bradenton, Florida, and fell in love with the sport. Cindy twirled competitively, both in individual and team events, in the Drum Majorettes of America organization. She has won multiple State titles and was a member of her National Champion Senior Dance Twirl team.
Cindy joined the UCF Marching Knights in 1989 as a Starlet Knight Majorette and twirled with the majorettes for three years. She is an Alumni of Tau Beta Sigma, Pledge Class Tau Nu Lambda. During her time at UCF, she was also a member of the Starlet Knight Dancers performing at basketball games and Disney’s Aladdin Celebration at Hollywood Studios. Cindy was selected as a dancer for the Miss America Organization’s Miss UCF Pageant for two years. In 1992, she was awarded a position with the Orlando Thunder Cheerleaders and was named captain of her squad.
In recent years, Cindy has coached State and National award winning dance twirl teams and is currently teaching private twirling lessons here in Central Florida.
