What is your favorite part of gameday?

My favorite part of gameday begins with the loud echo of drumline beginning their cadence as we are waiting in the tunnels about to run onto the field for pregame. Running onto the field in a full stadium with bright lights and cheering is one of the most rewarding experiences I have had at UCF so far, and it only gets better from there. The knights spellout is my favorite part of pregame- It’s so hype, fun to march, and the crowd loves it!

What do you like about Marching Knights?

While playing the music in MKs is so much fun, one of my favorite things about it is the lasting relationships that I have formed because of it. Not only in my own section, but in other sections as well as the drum majors. So far, I have met all of my best friends in Marching Knights!

What are you most excited about for this season?

There are so many things I am looking forward to in the upcoming season in particular, as we transition into a normal season. Mostly, it comes down to section boding. The mellophones are a family, and many of us are looking forward to section get togethers, going to UCF events together, and even just standing closer than six feet when its safe! I love my section, and I am even more excited to make more friends when we meet at band camp!
