Gage Grimsley

David Gage Grimsley is a Graduate Teaching Assistant for UCF Bands. His responsibilities include working in all facets of UCF Bands including the athletic bands and wind band program.

Gage graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Music Education. While at JSU, he was a member and was an instructor in the Marching Southerners Drumline. In addition, Gage was a highly active member of the JSU Percussion studio. Some ensembles he was a member of include Percussion Ensemble I, and Inferno Steel Band. Furthermore, he performed with the Chamber Winds, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Jazz Combos, Civic Orchestra, Brass Choir and for the Sacramento Mandarins. Gage has studied with Tim Brookshire, David Coheley, Sean Womack, Mark Hunter, Christopher Sherman, Andrew Lynge, Matthew Jordan, Thomas McCutchen, and Clint Gillespie.

Gage is also an active percussion instructor in the Northeast Alabama area as a percussion technician for Hokes Bluff High School, Woodland High School, Oxford High School, Ohatchee High School, and Rome Middle School in Rome, GA. He also served as a percussion technician for Southern Knights Drum and Bugle Corps and for Q2 Independent Indoor Drumline as a front ensemble technician.
