Woodwinds & Brass Auditions
All new Brass and Woodwind members will need to submit an Intent to March, which will include a video audition consisting of music and basic marching technique.
All returning members will need to submit an Intent to March, but will not need to submit a video unless they are planning to change instruments or part placement from last year.
Students will pick the part from the Fight Song, Alma Mater, and Entry of Pegasus that they want to be considered for. They will not be considered for any part higher than they play in the audition video. Music does not have to be memorized.
Priority consideration will be given to those who have submitted their Intent to March and audition video by June 1, 2025.
2nd+ year Marching Knights who do not submit their Intent to March before June 1 will need to submit an audition video. After June 1, consideration will be for open spots on the field.
After July 15, members will only be accepted on a need basis (i.e. filling out the sousaphone section, etc).
Please note that auditions are not for a limited number of spots, they are against a standard. Every effort will be made to include all with auditions that meet the expected standard of performance.
